Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

General info about Imago
- A woodcutter with a flattened body. The main, typical form is black with brown elytra and brown or black-brown antennae and legs. The pronotum is shiny, has a thick dotted line on the sides, and a sparse dotted line on the rest of the surface. The eyes are completely divided into two halves. On the head, there is a noticeable longitudinal furrow between the antennae. The elytra are covered with very fine but dense punctuation, have a short and delicate hairline, individuals are rather matte, rarely a little shiny. It is very variable in color: in addition to the typical coloration, there are individuals with brown elytra, but with black antennae and legs; we are talking about a color deviation or aberatio luridum L.; there are also individuals with black elytra, brown antennae and legs - aberatio fulcratum F. and, finally, individuals completely black - aberatio aulicum F. [61].
