:) Neither do I. Agree with you, many times I shot myself in the foot using its info of orchids.

Olga, to believe in wikipedia is kind of a big sin. Please, don't you rely upon it.

Thanks, you convinced me. Here the mass flight happened in the very mid-April and specimens were colored quite variously. Sorry for doubt, I was confused with the wikipedia description, here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catopsilia_pomona where they differ a lot.

I've got no doubt as for your identifying.

Olga, Vasily, what makes you both feel doubtful? This genus shows marked sexual dimorphism as well as many Pieridae do. This is a female though you can see the male too on the other photo. In Vietnam I came across the mass flight or migration maybe of this species. I could see at that moment hundreds of flying butterflies albeit it was rather hard to catch one.

I've just checked it out. Dmitry is right, that's female.

Vasily, would you please elaborate your last comment? I didn't understand anything...

04.05.2012 21:56, Vasiliy Feoktistov

Sorry. Or I don't dig it and such things can happen.

04.05.2012 21:48, Vasiliy Feoktistov

I suppose we can rely upon Dmitry's identifying. This is likely such kind of a sexual dimorphism.
