Photographer's comment: (= sebrus (Hübner, 1807)). Description. The length of the forewing is 11-14 mm. The wings of the male are blue above with marginal darkening (about 1 mm) and dark veins, the females are brown; light gray below. The marginal drawing at the bottom is low-contrast. The hindwing has a filiform tail about 1.0 mm long. At its base, below the hind wings, most often there are no orange marginal spots or there are only traces of them. The length of the valva, including the length of the costal process, is 0.8-0.9 mm. Biology. Mesophytic meadows, mostly on the forest edges. Adult years: end of May-August in 2 generations. Forage plants of caterpillars: Trifolium, Vicia, Medicago. The caterpillar overwinters. Subspecies. No subspecies within C. decoloratus have been described. Related and similar species. C. argiades: has 2-3 orange marginal spots at the base of the tail on the underside of the hindwings; C. alcetas: male wings are blue-purple above; subgenus species.Cupido: hindwing without a threadlike tail; T. fischeri: male brown-brown above, marked differences in the genitals of the male.
