Photographer's comment: Wingspan: 36 mm. According to personal observations, males of the species are much less common than females. In the Moscow region, this is a very common species found everywhere where there is a birch tree. However, the species is listed in the Red Book of the Moscow Region (Category 5: regenerating species).: http://kkmo2.verhovye.ru/rb/bspozvon/thecla_betulae.php It's time to get him out of there altogether.
