Date and time, location shooting/catching: 2013-05-11 00:00:00, Russia, Moscow reg., Lyuberetsky distr., near Torbeevo village.

Photographer's comment: Representatives of the species are depicted in typical living conditions: they feed on a crushed Gray Toad (Bufo bufo). Almost all members of the Silphidae family (with rare exceptions) live off carrion. Therefore, this family is called "Dead Eaters"in Russian.
