Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

  • Body length: 6-8mm. Head without a transverse furrow in front of the eyes. The lateral edge of the pronotum is smooth. The process of the 1st abdominal sternite is narrow, pointed. The body is oval, very convex. The 1st segment of the hind leg is barely longer than the 2nd segment. Black, strongly convex, shiny, bare. Short and broad, convex elytra with 2 yellow bands and a yellow apex. In birch tinder boxes. It smells strong. [249].
