Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species
- The wingspan is 14-22 mm. Antennae in males with 2 rows of bristles, in females simple, filiform. Labial palps are thin, directed upwards, the terminal segment is smooth, brown-cream, with a reddish tinge. Maxillary palps are thin and light. Proboscis is available. Ocelli and chetozema are absent. The forehead, crown, and nape are brownish-gray, with adjacent scales. The forewings are purple-brown, with bright yellow dots along the costal margin and 2 transverse lines, of which the outer one expands at the costal margin and forms a spot. The fringe is bright yellow. The hindwings are pinkish-purple, with 2 transverse yellow lines. The fringe is bright yellow. [113].
