Distribution

  • Regions of the Russian Federation: Seaside. [3].
  • Japan ( Shikoku, Kyushu, Ryukyu, Tsushima), Korea, China (including Taiwan), Southeast Asia (including Kalimantan), Nepal, India-Broadleaf forests. [204].

Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

  • The forewings are light brown, the subcranial field is dark brown, the marginal field is bluish-gray. The median field is strongly sloped to the outer half of the rear edge of the wings. The sub-edge line is straight, parallel to the outer edge of the wings. Round spot in the form of a dot, kidney-shaped in the form of 2 small circles. The hindwings are black, with a short, narrow blue band. [204].

  • Artena Wlk. Large butterflies. Mustache ♂ with short hairs. The palps are raised up, the 2nd segment is densely covered with hairs, the 3rd is short. The proboscis is developed. A tufted forehead. Middle and hind shins with spines.The wings are wide. There are 8 species in the genus (Oriental region). In the Russian Far East, there is 1 species ( migrant). [204].
