Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species
- Переднее крыло до 2 см, окраска яркая, с белым фоном, черными пятнами и теплыми жилтыми полосками на крыльях, туловище желтое с черными пятнами. На задних крыльях желтого нет, общий их фон белый, пятна на них черные. У некоторых форм больше желтого и почти нет черного (f. dohrni, f. candida, f. lutea), у других — все наоборот, почти нет желтого (f. varleyata, f. nigra, f. axantha). [85].

- Этот вид пядениц активен ночью, хотя нередко встречается и днем. Бабочки летают по кустарникам — смородине, крыжовнику и другим, кроме того, их можно найти и в пойменных лесах, вдоль ручьев. [85].
