Distribution

  • Russia: Northern Europe, the polar Urals, the Leningrad and Moscow Regions, Bashkiria, Western and Eastern Siberia, and the Far East, including Kamchatka and Sakhalin. Western Europe (except the south), the Baltic States, Transcarpathia, and Mongolia. It lives in a variety of fast flowing rivers and creeks [214].

Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

  • Relatively small species: male body length 3.5-5, females 4-6. 5 mm, male forewing length 4.5-6.2,females 6-7. 2 mm. The body is dark brown. [214].
