Distribution

  • Russia: north and west of the European part, north of Asia, Altai, Sayan Mountains, Amur basin, Primorsky Krai, Sakhalin. Northern and Central Europe, Mongolia. In Europe, the species has a boreal-montane type range. It lives in various types of flowing water bodies, mainly in fast-flowing rivers and streams. [214].

Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

  • Male body length 4.3-6 mm, female 4.5-7 mm, male forewing length 5.2-6.6 mm,female 7-8. 2 mm. The coloration of the body, antennae and legs is monophonic, brown, and the intensity of coloration is variable. [214].
