Distribution
- - Japan, Philippines, Hawaii. Regions of Russia: South of Primorsky Krai. [252].
Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species
- Narrow beetles with parallel-sided nadcr., a small transverse prsp. and a small head with strongly protruding hemispherical eyes and short temples, behind which it is sharply necked. The top of the head is covered with conical bumps. The bases of the us. are close together. Nadkr. with 10 longitudinal veins connected by transverse lintels to form deep rectangular cells. The legs are short, and in case of danger they hide in the recesses of the underside of the body. The color is monochrome, dark brown. Rare. [252].
