- Бабочка, больше известная внешним видом своей личиночной стадии. Длина переднего крыла — до 4 см. Рисунок крыльев черно-белый (больше белый), внутри с плотными чешуйками, кнаружи — с редкими. Отличается от белой гарпии не только размерами, но и серым (а не белым) низом брюшка. Под низом имеется ввиду нижняя сторона. [85].
