- It is found in Southern and Central France and Spain. In Europe, Britensia circe is only occasionally found north of the Alps, while in Russia it flies only in the south of the European part. Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species
- The length of the front wing is 3.5 cm. On the dark background of both the front and rear wings, a white sash stands out, breaking up into separate spots. Females are larger than males, and their baldric is wider. Although there are not many geographical forms. In the Brintesia circe mountains it can climb up to an altitude of 1500 m [85].
