Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species
- Brown wings with extensive white areas, with a single eye on the forewings. Briseida is very, very variable, as a rule, there are differences in the width and intensity of color of the white sash on the wings. For example, the subspecies Chazara briseis bataia Fruhst., flying in the Czech Republic, is characterized by a strongly reduced sling, this is especially pronounced in males. The form pirata Esp. the baldric is not white, but orange-brown in color. In general, southern butterflies have larger wings and baldrics than their northern counterparts. [85].
