Changing the display of references to the literature in essays species

Community and ForumWebsite news and updatesChanging the display of references to the literature in essays species

Now, instead of the format "Author innformatsii source, the year" will be used bracketed number source, for example, as follows: [9]. At the same time the full name of the source is available by pointing the mouse on the plus brackets in the references at the bottom of the form (as well as, by itself, in the section literature at the site). This option is a little less obvious, but since literature adds a lot of users, and not all of them do it correctly, the display will be a lesser evil compared to the blasted captions.

Very convenient and equally clearly, it seems to me. And there is no excess. Thank you!

I agree with Irina, too long reading lists where there are few, and so will be more accurate. Resources to developing, improving and it is encouraging!

In general, the description of the taxa adopted this form of links to sources (as an example) - Stenocephalus lautipes Stal, 1860a: 468
Author. Year. The letter (optional) - is the order of publication of the author, if there were a few a year. And page number at the source.
At least entomologists is familiar and understandable.
Perhaps it makes sense to bind: Taxa content. You will be able to see the publications which taxa are described and there at the same time on the taxon to see what are the publication.

Boris, the proposed option is ideal, but unfortunately in this resource is not possible because there is a lot of information from the site.

Well then, as an alternative to printed sources I think it is appropriate.

Boris, explain what you mean as "the description of the taxa"? If within species essays - where does the name of a species? If you are not in, then where does the page? Or are you about the First things description?
