Taxonomy, synonyms and combinations

  • Вид отличен по COI от L. amurensis на 2.5%, что подтверждает его самостоятельность. С другой стороны, отличие популяций Shaanxi от описываемого вида достигает 1,9-2.3%, также подтверждая их видовой ранг. [393].

Distribution

  • Нередкий, но иногда локальный лесной и (высоко)горный вид; известен с высот до 4000 м и более типичен выше 2500 м. Эндемик Южного Китая, достоверно известный из провинции Юннань; идентичные показатели по COI показывают популяции из Тибета. [393].

Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

  • Диагноз. Крупный (голотип 114 мм в размахе, с длиной переднего крыла 49 мм) узкокрылый вид, с крыльями, сильно расширяющимися к наружному краю; бабочки светло серо-фиолетовые, иногда с легкой примесью розово-фиолетовых чешуек. Внешний край крыла равномерно волнистый; заднее крыло со слабо оттянутым краем на вершинах радиальных жилок и явственным выступом на вершине Cu1. Внешне напоминает L. sinica (Rothschild & Jordan, 1903), но рисунок четкий, фон контрастнее, волнистость внешнего края крыльев более резкая, АМ переднего крыла изломана на уровне А1, а сами элементы рисунка между жилками более выпуклые в сравнении с выровненными у L. sinica. [393].
