Some huge xylocopes that had worn down the entire trunk, but I couldn't find any of them anywhere. All information is available on the photo page https://fotki.yandex.ru/next/users/shutoff-.../1285246?page=0

As I understand it, you think that the xylocope in the photo has yellow stripes on its abdomen.
It seems to me that this is not the case. Just the hind legs in yellow pollen and in flight pressed to the abdomen

Take a look at Macroid.ru - I signed some Dolerus there, using the suggestion of an Estonian colleague-a specialist in this genus, M. B. that will appeal to you wink.gif

Hmm...
For me, of course, they "look the same". I shot all three of them without moving (the time difference in EXIF is 3 minutes between the pictures). Apparently, this happens. smile.gif

visible difference in the color of 2-4 tergites and hind legs, there should also be differences in the color of the platypus, in the number of flagellar segments and, most importantly, in the degree of development of the hypostomal roller at its confluence with the occipital one.
And the views, of course, are very close smile.gif

PS I never get tired of wondering how you manage to meet so many things, and I also try to shoot everything decentlyconfused.gif. Sometimes I try to find riders for a photo shoot, but something is clearly wrong with luck. And about the results of the shooting itself, when something happens, I just won't say anythingteapot.gif, they don't like to pose for me frown.gif

Yes, too, there are not so many riders and, as a rule, even in the morning hours they are quite active and can not stand shooting. All that can be removed is in the early morning, and now at night, while the insects are sleeping. Without a macro flash with a diffuser at a minimum ISO, micro-oil is provided at the slightest movement. All macro photography is a constant compromise! smile.gif

And where can I find them? More precisely, on what and how does it make them? Maybe I can do it?

Minks in the sand. You can only find it by accidentally noticing a female returning to the nest (so, in fact, I find most of the nests of earthen eumenins, but this is difficult and long).

And the study is visual, or do you dig them up? What is the observation in this case?

this type of eumenina was caught with yellow cups and a net.

Both observation and digging. At best, there are observations and photos of wasps at the nests, then a continuous timekeeping of activity for one day, then the excavation of at least one nest immediately after its sealing, and one two weeks later. But this is ideal, and in practice-what will happen.

something I can't determine before the appearance of this ectemnius.
about 12 mm. The 3rd part of the sawyere is slightly longer than its width, less than the 2nd part. The top of the platypus is in the form of a platform, slightly concave in the middle, without side teeth. Unfortunately, you can't see the inside of the mandibles. Midrib in very thick, rather rough dotted line, without longitudinal and transverse wrinkles. The transverse keel on the mid-chest is weak, only from the sides. The sides of the mid-chest are shiny with sparse but clear dots. tergites are quite dense, but finely dotted. 1st tergite in a rarer dotted line, shiny.
I would have assumed that nigritarsus, but according to the photo in the Internet, the color of the abdomen is completely different.

Lestica clypeata or camelus? female
in favor of clypeata has a well-marked anterior margin of the platypus, rather rough punctuation of the prothorax, as well as tergites.
In favor of camelus is the length of the scapus (more than twice the smallest distance between the eyes), as well as the absence of spines on the sides of the pronotum.
