similar, no guarantee. at the instance "in kind" you can see the hairs of 3 colors on each segment. br., and so polosatenko segments alternate.

Oh, well, that's different. Bumblebee IMHO is most similar to B. terrestris, but I can't say for sure, there are many species with a similar pattern, including the so-called critical ones. But the thin, dim front yellow band is still most characteristic of the terrestris, which is also the most sparse in the south of the temperate zone. But the two bee heads sticking out of the flower, I'm afraid, are not definable at all.

I will assume a male Vespa orientalis. But it is not worth removing insects for identification.

And there is still no one to confuse it with.

Not definable to a certain extent. Such a pygidium is characteristic of Halictinae. But then, indeed, there is not enough data.

According to the general habit, male Rophites can be assumed.

According to the general habit, it is possible to assume male Rophites.

But they really are males, how did I not catch up? confused.gif

Maritimo, of course, there is nothing else on this page that looks like hornets.

Apparently, Prionyx stschurowskii (Radoszkowski, 1877)

How rare is it?

30.09.2016 20:46, AVA

How rare is it?

If in the sands of Central Asia and Kazakhstan, then we can say that it is" moderately " rare. Not exactly under every bush, but it comes across relatively regularly. At least there are rarer species in the collections.

Maritimo, of course, there is nothing else on this page that looks like hornets.

And if Mademoiselle doesn't know the word, or doesn't know what hornets look like, eh wink.gif?

I remembered the incident. Once a wasp bit me and I went to the hospital for a couple of days. There were two funny grandfathers there. They were arguing. One claimed that I must have been bitten by Shashel, and the other that Shorshel xD

I've already asked about the rider here on page 156, but I never got an answer.

Here is another rider very similar to the Ichneumon albiger Wesmael 1845, but it does not look like it

I throw photos from different angles, the insect is 2 cm long (specially measured with a ruler)
