Krasnoyarsk Territory, Berezovsky district, in the Merike trap. Dry slope.
Male. About 10 mm. Medium thighs without cutouts. Medium basins with long outgrowths. Cheek teeth are light, dirty yellow. I can't find the protrusion on the back basins. The casing is convex in the upper part. Unfortunately, the mandibles are closed, not visible recess.
I believe that this is Odynerus renifirmis, is it possible to tell with accuracy, without seeing the mandibles confused.gif

Together with the male (previously settled), a female was caught that is more similar to simillimus.
10 mm. Back pocket with a yellow sash. Body hair is light. There are 5 light stripes on the abdomen. I think that the temples seem overstretched, from the fact that the eyes are unevenly protruding. Sides of the intermediate segment with a noticeable flattened tubercle. The tegulae are brown. The second is sternite with a yellow sash, the third with yellow spots on the sides. Perhaps this is the female O. reniformis confused.gif

a similar structure of the cutouts of the middle thighs is characteristic of Odynerus spinipes?
It seems to me that the ledge at the top is quite far away. The pubescence is also confusing. The hairs are long, shaggy, thick, but for me they are not black, but light. As a variant of femoratus, but the tegulae are not light and the shape of the second protrusion is quite wide, rectangular.

It does not differ from O. spinipes (I have one male from the Irkutsk region), except that the pubescence is slightly lighter (maybe burned out?). O. femoratus is not an option, his hips are completely different, I know him well. In short, O. spinipes it, there can be nothing else.

Female Polistes dominula (Christ, 1791).
But for 100% confidence, it would be good to look at the head and chest from the side.

Female Pemphredon. 8-9 mm. The second return vein departs from the first radiomedial vein.
The apex of the platypus is straight, at least not as clearly elongated as inornata. On the mandibles, I counted only 4 teeth. The punctuation of the mid-chest is uneven. In front, the dots are rather thick and large (more frequent than in inornata), fovelike with indistinct edges, and sparse in the center. The shield is shiny, in rare rather large spots. The median field of the intermediate segment is completely different from that of inornata. The pygidial field is flat, with almost no points. Could it be a female lethifer?
