- A mustache from last year. - - Some kind of leptura, right?

Strangalia attenuata Linnaeus, 1758

Softwing in my opinion: Drilus concolor Ahrens, 1812

08.06.2010 11:59, Victor Titov

Hello People. Yesterday I caught, as it seems to me, such an interesting and cool soft wing... - I see it for the first time

Male Drilus concolor - family Drilidae

So I was right (it hurts to have an unusual beetle).

Help me, I'm completely dumbfounded. What kind of shoe? Moscow oblast. It was covered in yellow pollen, like larinus. 12 mm without nose.

Rum, I think, is Cyphocleonus trisulcatus. Fresh and clean.

4. On the right, most likely Rh. frontalis.

Aren't Rh. frontalis and Rh. notatus synonymous?

Synonyms indeed smile.gif, but Rh. frontalis is still more correct.

Rhantus frontalis (Marsham, 1802) (syn. notatus sensu F., 1781, non Bergstrosser, 1779; suturalis Boisduval et Lacordaire, 1835, non MacLeay, 1825; semicirculatus O. Schneider, 1898). This is what I called notatus out of an old habit... shuffle.gif

The beetle was identified by me as Polyphylla olivieri, but I can't be sure, because there is no determinant from these places.

I disagree with C. populi, but Chrysolina graminis Linnaeus, 1758-yes, I was wrong earlier

Populi (red elytra) and the size of the podium is 10 mm. (or so), well, this is for Gennadich.

Viktor, why are you so sure?

Not to mention the entire appearance that is characteristic of Chrysolina, and not Chrysomela, pay attention to the pronotum. It's clearly metallic green (at least on my monitor wink.gif).

09.06.2010 13:13, Алексей Сажнев

the shape is slightly different in them, and in Populi the pronotum is not so bright

09.06.2010 13:16, vasiliy-feoktistov

What about the elytra? I have them red. The size would still be.

By the way, in the photo of the respected Andris Bukeys (on the ZIN website), the color of Chrysolina polita is rather unnatural, distorted.

That's all, I admit mol.gif(the shape of the elytra is different in Populi), but why are they red in this one? All the time they are brown in my cases confused.gif.
