Returning to the previous question about pomonae and pomorum. I want to show a nutcracker caught recently on timber (scots pine). As it seems to me, this is pomorum. Cherepanov's description of this particular species is given, which is often found on old wood, including pine. What do you say?? shuffle.gif

13 mm. It resembles Carenochirus titanus, but the head is more powerful, the apron is different.

Microlestes sp-spp in the photo 07Karatau_7_05.jpg. Similarly, not to the point of view, because there are several new undescribed ones of approximately the same appearance.

This one is definitely S. fuscomaculatus!

Can I go with my ground beetle change from Karatau?
Exactly Acinopus? Maybe A. striolatus?

For striolatus little shiny and in the grooves clearly dots are visible. This is A. laevigatus.

07Karatau_7_05.jpg -nutcracker in the center-Cardiophorus sp. (Cardiophorus ?syriacoides),

In syriacoides, the light spots on the elytra are densely pubescent. They're naked here.
Could it be Cardiophorus tricolor Reitter, 1896 ?

Very suitable, and the size of "13 mm" on the Zinovsky site is directly mine!
Then there was still such a fitoshka, from the Emba River (deserted steppes) , from milkweed
