Your narrow wing is Ischnomera caerulea (Linnaeus, 1758), which differs well from the closely related I. cyanea (F.) in the shape of its claws. And I. cinerascens is also similar, but it doesn't seem to reach you.

Hello! A question for the specialists. This beetle has already been identified on the forum as Zavaljus brunneus (aka Z.fausti). As I understand it, there are no other species of this genus in the fauna of Russia. But in the description, the beetle is red, and I come across all the black ones. Maybe it's a different species? I'll send you those who will take up the definition. And one more question:who can help with the definition of Cryptophagidae, Lathridiidae, who is interested? Photographing them is very difficult, very small. All the beetles are in a mixture of alcohol and glycerin. Collecting from hollows with bees, Southern Urals. Scientific priority is yours.picture: Languriidae_1.jpg

macrina, you probably have Zavaljus brunneus, nothing else similar from the Southern Urals can be. And the microbiotope is also his - in the same topic, a year or two earlier, someone had already posted on the definition of the same species, also collected from bees in the hive (it seems that the collections were from Bashkiria).
Egor, it looks more like you have Protaetia aeruginosa (which is also quite goodsmile.gif). Isn't it? speciosa in Ukraine is known outside the Crimea?

I love to dream... smile.gif
Well, no, not like that.
And the fact that it is unknown outside the Crimea is not an argument. (smile.gif)
We've already found a lot of things.
Yes, and in the Crimea, which was previously unknown there, they were caught... wink.gif

16.08.2011 13:56, Guest

I agree, it is not always an argument, especially for small and hidden-living onessmile.gif, but P. speciosa is a large, bright, noticeable beetle. By the way, it does not live everywhere in the Crimea, but mostly in the mountains. So you still have P. aeruginosa.

in my opinion different

However, Den is right, it's almost certainly aenea. Alni has a different pronotum topography with characteristic smooth spots and a larger number of prominent mirror spots on the elytra. And furcata and amphibia differ even more-they are different.

Where does speciosa live in Crimea?

It lives on the northern macroslope of the Mountainous Crimea.
I don't know any specific points, and I haven't searched for them myself. Information from the literature.
