I heard that there are significant problems with the transportation of dry material

they say that if they find it, then not only will they take it away, but they won't let you back in....
I'm from Odessa myself.
By the way, Moldova seems to be a similar garbage... Who knows, tell us pliz)

Sobsna going to the Caucasus, then Altai..

I haven't heard anything like that yet.I know that there are problems with sending such material.
And when to Altai?

09.05.2008 19:08, Buzman

I didn't say anything like that either. I drove it myself many times and without any problems. Both from the Caucasus and Lake Baikal... I even once took live tropical frogs from St. Petersburg to Kiev through fierce Belarusian customs officers. Not found... smile.gif Friends took snakes from the Caucasus to Kiev last year, which is also normal.

As far as I know, and I travel to Russia quite often, customs inspection on trains is very primitive. In your bag, no one will climb, if the tip-offs of the special services will not be smile.gif. Although there are searches. Customs officers, they're stupid. And for them, any unusual thing is a reason to show their power. I remember once driving with test tubes, flasks of all sorts. In short, not quite an ordinary thing. I was caught with this, they began to ask what and how, well, I said so and so the student says. Their chief came, looked at me on the "goods" said the sentimental phrase "ah, stationery" and the issue was resolved. Although they could have been accused of making drugs. Test tubes, flasks, everything fits smile.gif. We were lucky with the main thing, they didn't get off the train. And insects are difficult. How can you prove that you are not in the reserve in Altai caught them? It would be necessary to have a paper from the institution, although which one? On the other hand, I do not know of a specific law prohibiting the transportation of insects, and it is unlikely that it exists. But because of the peculiarities of the "goods", I would hide them away in a bag or backpack and answer the question "prohibited substances, weapons, drugs we carry" honestly and without a tremor in my voice would answer NO!!!

To Altai-July. Whole.

The end of March - control in the Crimea, Then for a week in the Caucasus..

So I think what would not be such a palivnuyu box for mattresses to come up with...
The most uncompromising and philistine ) Something like a pack of tea, only bigger.
And I also know that if you go through Kharkiv , there is a serious storm...
And if through Kerch? How's it going?"

09.05.2008 23:33, Tomas.Adzkee

Maybe forum members are lucky people, but there are also less lucky people who have lost their material and are not allowed to return home. Well, the second-fuck it )

.I went to Moscow last year .the first customs passed successfully, and the Russian was not lucky .For some reason, I was asked to show what was in the backpack , and, of course, the first thing they took out was a box with bags of tropical butterflies, they asked what it was, said butterflies ?they say now let's piss and buish know, like what you didn't declare .I got away with making a plaintive face, like I didn't know and all that .muzhig looked and said, okay, this time go, next time fill out the declaration

. t. e. you can always buy off with something, at least give a bribe of 10-20b under the pretext of a fine (it's better than getting off the train and losing the material smile.gif)

.this year, they tried to get close to me in the Crimea and at the customs office of Ridnestrovskaya, but fortunately they didn't find anything ,and I didn't speak haltingly-I played the role well smile.gif

These rules are killing me, what with transportation, what with forwarding. I don't understand why you can send insects to Russia, but you can't send them from Russia. Three times I tried to send a parcel to Ukraine, but it was no use. It's almost impossible to hide it. Yesterday, when I was there, a young couple tried to send a parcel with ordinary things somewhere in the near abroad, so even the pupa's head was removed at the post office to see what was inside. I'm shocked!

Personally, for me (personally for me), everything is sent without problems.
According to regulatory documents, there are no obstacles. It is most likely that the post office proceeds from the principle of "do not let go, no matter what happens".

So it is! Just hyper-vigilance syndrome. Immediately they point their finger at a piece of paper with a ban on sending items of animal origin and even if you kill them.

But after all, it should be sent to the recipient to the sender, so that he could make a certificate from the quarantine room after receiving it, and then send the material...! Here you can do phallosophy on this bureau..

After reading this topic, gentlemen, I came to the conclusion that apparently I am one such "lucky guy", because always and in any weather and change at the post office, I calmly send material in any reasonable amount, as well as from any post office (except for the Main Post Office, of course - it will not work there), to any country (at least on the Shore of Pig Hooves), without inspections and filling out declarations, without extra charges and unnecessary questions!

How can this happen to you, gentlemen? And where, finally, is the manifestation of the army, I'm sorry, civilian savvy?

Honestly, I wanted to bypass customs, but the option did not pass.. At the post office, where customs immediately check there and do not want to take parcels without a certificate from the quarantine. So I went to another post office, sent everything calmly, and a week later I took my parcel, which was banned for export..
In general, it is not difficult to send anything from Moldova, except for Russia.

26.05.2008 8:11, Serg Svetlov

The story is as follows: this Saturday I slapped the post office with one thought to send the promised beetles, bought bags for 7 rubles, packed them, wrote pieces of paper: in Russia - only addresses(form for parcels), near abroad-Moldova I had to fill out declarations, already in 3 copies, where I honestly indicated that it was dry entomological material-beetles in such a quantity, I paid 200 rubles and calmly went home. I think that if there are adequate people at customs, then in 2 weeks some tov. they will receive their beetles, if not, the parcel will return, we will think about how to send it! If you are interested, I will write the continuation of the story after completing the epic and the answers of interested people!!!

26.05.2008 9:34, Bad Den

ssacad, 50% that the parcel will get stuck at customs (depends on the vigilance/indifference of postal workers and customs officers). We need a phytosanitary certificate. But in any case, you can check where the parcel is located at this address: http://info.russianpost.ru/servlet/post_item
(The parcel number is indicated in the receipt)

One hope, on the trains, and on the guides. When I was traveling from Belarus with mattresses, I was also afraid. I have a lamp in my backpack, a net, all the gadgets. I think what to say if asked. And I came up with a fish net, and a lamp attracts fish better. Fortunately, I didn't have to use this essay.

27.05.2008 22:18, RippeR

and the Ukrainian, Moldavian and 2 Pre-Dniester borders, with a bunch of beetles and butterflies, a lamp, a net, live peyote, ancient petrified shells,a couple of plants for caterpillars, live caterpillars themselves, a scoop in a glass with peyote, etc. and it was not scary, because if you are afraid-they will definitely see through and will dig up.. Although they still dug it out, because I looked very strange with the stupidest hairstyle, one tourist, with kakutosm in his hands, with a satisfied and confident look, staring at the Crimean beauties smile.gif(once they dug it out when the bus was waiting, and the second time at the Transnistrian customs, you can see at the customs because of the declaration - something is not right for them liked it) And everything is great!!!!

And at the post office, when Israeli butterflies were sent - they were interrogated with a huge bewilderment on their face-what kind of garbage is this? And what about kallektsianirovaiti butterflies? And once three women were caught.. Ohhh! We sat for half an hour and didn't know what the hell to do, because it was the first time we had seen anything like this, we didn't know whether it was possible or not.. And I say-everything is possible, I have already sent it a hundred times, there is a phytosanitary inspection and all that, so don't fool your head.. In general, they gave, well, ladna-biri and yedi..

And when he sent it broke off for the first time, he fooled them, they didn't want to send it without an inspection. And then I made a piece of paper and made out the parcel in 15 minutes - and there were no words.. But they didn't want to issue a phytosanitary certificate to Russia without the IRC - they say that you will get a piece of paper that you can, and then we will talk..

And here from places too complain:

"I think its a shame that in US the great United States can not be a Honest legal insect collector or alive seller,or even have a A1 collection. To many fees, regulations, state laws,This is sad, when poor countrys can have what they want in the way of insects.
I have no insects, dead ,alive or otherwise. And looks like I never will.

Glory to the noobs of all stripes!

I had a funny case: I come for a parcel (insects from South Africa), they almost gave it to me, and suddenly-ouch, and there is no seal on some important piece of paper! We have already missed it, put the signature that can be issued, but forgot the seal. I had to wait a couple of weeks until the parcel was returned to the right place, the seal was put there and the mail was returned back...

In general, mail is the easiest way to forward.

The package was not covered - I received it before departure, just a letter bahurin'u see did not reach.
All the grandmas, even straightened ones, came perfectly, not a single mustache was injured smile.gif

In general, the Ukrainian border is not as terrible as the Russian one - there everyone's things are almost stolen, at least at the entrance. But it depends on what kind of person gets caught.

01.08.2008 8:17, Bad Den

Just yesterday (31.07.2008) I crossed the Ukrainian-Russian border for the second time smile.gif
No one (neither our nor Ukrainian border guards) was even interested in the luggagesmile.gif.
Apparently, because they were not customs officers, but border guards. They only looked at documents.
