Dear friends!
At the request of my colleagues from the Magellan publishing house, I post their article on the forum as a tribute to the memory of Dmitry Obydov, and an approximate translation of it into Russian.

"Last fall, I was informed by a short message about the death of our colleague Dmitry Obydov.
Although Dmitry was quite remote from the world of longicornes, he was a loyal friend of ours. The Magellanes publishing house published a revision of the genus Callisthenes. The fauna Carabus of Siberia was also published in two volumes. Both hardworking and humble, this indefatigable entomologist has written dozens of very high-quality articles about Carabus Russia, accompanying them with drawings and maps.
In his last message, which Dmitry sent to me a few
days before his death, he rejoiced at the end of his last book, dedicated to the Tribax of the Caucasus, the manuscript of which he was to send me. We will keep in our memory the image of a reserved colleague, accessible and enthusiastic, who left too early to join Janine Morati, Karl Werner, Frank Hovor...
