Sad news from St. Petersburg: Vera Andreyevna Richter, a world-renowned expert in the taxonomy of Tachinidae, Asilidae, Nemestrinidae, and Tephritidae, died last night, February 7, 2015, from the effects of a stroke that occurred a week ago. She was born on August 28, 1936 in Yerevan (Armenia) in the family of two famous coleopterists, Margarita Ter-Minasyan and Andrey Richter. Her entire scientific life was connected with the Zoological Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The Ukrainian Entomological Society expresses its deep condolences to colleagues and relatives.
