I'll put it this way. Most often, I find something interesting and new (and this applies not only to insects, but to life in general) when I don't expect anything from the search, when there is no attachment to the result. So, those who respect the process itself will find it faster.

Or maybe this factor is not so important. Like virgin land. Why can't we assume that there is a population of this insect in a landscape modified by humans, where insecticides are actively and continuously used ?

That's what philosophy is all about, to assume anything. But in reality, it would be just wonderful if the populations of this species in us, at least in a few islands of the indigenous landscape, were preserved, which is doubtful.

Then it should not be found in nature, but somewhere else. In a museum, for example. Suddenly, it was incorrectly identified there, and it is stored under a "pseudonym"for fifty years. Just find it in the museum - - - and here it is, a new find of the fat man !
