Swallowtail appeared in winter - are there any options other than the rule? I didn't manage to reach the pupa until spring, and I don't want to send beauty to the "rack".
Maybe a cold room or something?

In fact, the swallowtail does not overwinter, so it is pointless to put it in a cold place. You can try feeding him some syrup, but it seems to me that the straightener is still better, at least he will not suffer, and you will have a copy to remember.

Pralna colleagues said-will not make it. Even if you feed and after feeding and digesting the feed (a 10% solution of honey or fructose) is kept in the refrigerator, it will not last longer than 3-4 weeks. I don't understand the current, did you want to breed, or just release? If you breed (and have a couple), then you can now. Purchased dill is suitable for laying eggs and feeding caterpillars.
If zazimovyvat pupa at +4-0C, it is not displayed in the middle of winter, etozh not archon any thread... Unless sho with a downed diapause...
Although if you want to enjoy a live butterfly. then you can keep in the room and feed (something) 2 times a day. Unwinding the proboscis with a needle and immersing it in a drop of solution or cotton wool moistened with it...

I think you should decide what exactly you want. If you want to enjoy a live butterfly, and then a specimen in the collection, then this will not work. While it will live at your home all the same where nowhere else but tatter. So it is better to either add to the collection, or let it please you while flying around the house, but in the collection it will no longer be the first freshness. When I bred a poplar hawk moth, my first one came out in February, I added it to the collection. And the rest as they go to the collection, then to the will.
