Red ants in the apartment

Community and ForumHow to get rid of insectsRed ants in the apartment

Hello! Please help me. Now I'll tell you my story.
In 2014, in my one-room apartment, I found a flock of red ants. They were crawling around in the kitchen. I didn't pay much attention to it then. After a while, I noticed that they began to spread. Kitchen, toilet, bathroom, then bedroom.
At that time, I worked around the clock, often traveling on business trips. And when I was home, I poisoned them as much as I could. Insect repellent sprays, boric acid, and various gels. The ants disappeared in one place and reappeared in another. They ended up crawling everywhere. On the walls, in bed, in things, in the kettle. I won't say I'm dirty. I do not leave dishes for the night, I wash the floor once a day. I take out the trash every day. I've read all about them in two years. I tried different methods of fighting, but it was useless. The ants disappeared and reappeared.
In 2016, we bought a new one-bedroom apartment. When moving, they took only their personal belongings with them. All furniture and bulky appliances were left in the old apartment, as it was planned to be rented out. And so.. When moving, they carefully examined all things, shoes, books, etc., so as not to transport ants to a new apartment. After moving in, I called the exterminator and he killed the ants in odnushke. And after a couple of weeks, the ants spread out in the new apartment! Okay.. we stayed with my mother for a while, and the exterminator also killed ants in the new apartment. This was in the summer of 2016. And until now, we have lived happily without these reptiles.
When moving, we put some unnecessary things in the inter-storey storage room. They weren't poisoned there. And a couple of days ago, my husband decided to make shelves in the pantry and temporarily moved all the things from the pantry to the balcony. And, a couple of days later, I found ants in the toilet! And today they are already crawling in the bathroom!
Dear friends, I have described everything in detail, so that you can answer my question. How is it?? How is this possible? Did they survive in the storeroom, and it's cold in there? and crawled into the bathroom? But our toilet is located far from the balcony. Please help me!!! Explain the logic of these reptiles. I plan to call the exterminator again in the near future. But what if they appear again in a year?
I'm just thinking.. Why me? Am I really worse at cleaning than a 70-year-old grandmother-neighbor, or a widowed grandfather-neighbor in the vestibule?
I'm sorry, I can't write beautifully. It's just a cry of the soul!!!

In odnushke, I watched, after bullying, in the toilet they fell out from under the curtain ceiling. And there was one that looked like a uterus.

Sorry. Your problem is the so - called Pharaoh ant (although it comes not from Egypt, but from Southeast Asia). Getting rid of it is quite difficult, and on the scale of only one apartment (since almost everything can populate it after appearing in an apartment building) - probably impossible. Be patient. Poison together with your neighbors. There is enough information about these ants on the Internet.

Try semolina + powdered sugar

So this is for them and poison

If you have ants poisoned by this, I advise you not to eat that powder and that semolina yourself, because something is very wrong with them.

By the way, the network has at least two versions of the deadly effects of cereals (including semolina) on ants, and both are very exotic (and, in my opinion, to put it mildly, questionable):

It is better to cook semolina porridge from semolina, and poison ants with poison)

We also used to have pharaonovs for a long time, then we made a normal repair, covered up all the cracks, and even in the winter they were poorly heated and the ants disappeared by themselves.

Try semolina + powdered sugar

I heard you need to mix powdered sugar together with vinegar. It is desirable that it was with pebbles

Once upon a time, powerful gels of imported production were sold, effective against both ants and bedbugs (cockroaches died from them in general instantly, then someone very clever banned these funds). Now the names of these tools are no longer in my head, I can only name Masha from a really effective and working tool. It's chalk. They need to draw along the paths of the ants.
You also need to find out the location of the anthill.
If you are lucky, the anthill is located near the place of consumption or storage of food. It also makes sense to follow the ants.
Once I was also looking for an anthill. It was found in the tube of the fishing rod.

if your ant is the same size, 3 mm long, then these are stone ants. user posted image
No poisons worked. Brought out a total general cleaning, search for nests and their destruction. if the nest was in the floor in concrete-filled with plaster. I found nests in podvazonnikov, cardboard boxes, under a newspaper in a nightstand in the kitchen, under baseboards, once in a Motorolla walkie-talkie.
Now 3 years without them, even boring...

I can assure you that the ant in the photo is not stone at all, but quite a meat one, in a chitinous wrapper smile.gif

Not far from Chernobyl, they are made of stone! rolleyes.gif

no amount of poisons helped with these ants, like small ones, but there were a lot of them. I called the service and didn't suffer http://ses-uslugi.ru/uslugi/dlya-dachi-i-d...vev-v-kvartire/

Maxim, you forgot to write the address of the service, so, it seems, there is nothing for you to hang up the "Order of St. George" yet, but you need to.

Yes, I did not count on the order, where am I, a mere mortal to Vas

Find a colony, it may not be easy, but you need to determine where they are all crawling from. And either fill up their "anthill" with an eco-cooler or block their way with the same tool to block their way to the apartment.
