Date and time, location shooting/catching: 0000-00-26 16:50:00, Moscow region, Narofominsk district, Vereisky forestry, Veselyovo village.

Photographer's comment: Picked from a blossoming horseradish on a sunny day. It's colored black, a bit greeny, has a white spot on its hind wings. A small Geometridae size, the wing length is about 5—7mm.

Maria, now descriptions of Russian species are sourced from European references, which tend to err quite often. I'll soon reprint here some info of Catalogue of the Lepidoptera of Russia, that is more reliable on the subject. Some of those data already used in our catalogue (Russian regions selection), yet not for species descriptions.

The "wool" on wing edges is white here, whilst A. stigmosalis, I guess, does not have such...

Amaurophanes stigmosalis, maybe? Has alike light spots on upper wings... Sadly, just this angle shot.
