Moved.

Right, it's definitely described in French Guiana: http://www.guianensis.fr/photos_sphingidae_1.htm#top.

The genus is Adhemarius, species is either this or that, so if Lev says this location is for Adhemarius roessleri, don't object :), just to "uncertain".

Pity for such an eagle to get lost in "undetermined". They say there http://www.silkmoths.bizland.com/aypsilon.htm that these two were one species before Eitschberger in 2002 described roessleri as a separate sp. and excluded ypsilon from French Guiana. Also, ypsilon looks darker and more contrast, personal opinion, of course.

Any thoughts? Leave it in "undetermined"?

Either this or that, I see A. roessleri. There are actually many similar species in that neck of the woods...

Why not Adhemarius ypsilon (Rothschild & Jordan, 1903), like this one more :)

Right, move this to Adhemarius roessleri (Eitschberger, 2002) "uncertain" so far.

Adhemarius roessleri?
