Base gallery. Alive insect.

Photo, and identified by: Irina Nikulina. Image without retouching at the website

Date and time, location shooting/catching: 2010-05-14 16:00:00, Russia, Primorskiy Krai, Vladivostok envir.

Photographer's comment: Oviposition of Ludorphia Pucilo on a Siebold hoof leaf. The hoof is a typical ephemeroid, it grows very quickly in spring, and during the time that the eggs develop (6-7 days), the leaf grows so that the eggs, densely laid by the butterfly, are noticeably spread apart.
