Photographer's comment: In the spring forest, ludorphia has few natural enemies, but sometimes you can see whitish empty chorions in its pearl oviposits. This is the result of the activity of red-bodied mites (or Velvet mites) (Trombidiidae), which suck the eggs of ludorphs.
