Photographer's comment: (= sebrus (Boisduval, 1832); = majuspunctata (Verity, 1934)). Description. The length of the forewing is 10-16 mm. The wings of the male are purple above, the females are brown, and light gray below. There is almost no marginal drawing at the bottom. The length of the valva, including the length of the costal process, is 0.9 – 1.1 mm. Biology. Meadows of various types, steppe areas. In the mountains up to 2600 m. Adult years: May-August in 1-2 generations, depending on the habitat. Food plants of caterpillars: Onobrychis, Lathyrus. The caterpillar or pupa overwinters. Contact with Lasius alienus ants. Related and similar species: C. minimus: male wings are brown above, blue scales are not developed at the root of the lower hindwings, the costal process of the valva is shorter; Everes and Tongeia species: hind wing with a filiform tail; Polyommatus semiargus: a different structure of the male genitals.There is no comments in English so far.
