You are probably right, and this is just populi (especially since in some sources populeti is just a subspecies of populi, and in the 13th reg the species is listed as a drift/migrant). But I looked at the images, read about their main external differences and ventured to suggest with a question-for your consideration). The eyes are not visible here, but in general, populeti is characterized by a lighter color with a slight pinkish tinge and the absence of a purple hue.
