Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species
- The body is small, slightly elongated. The head is short with a pronounced neck intercept and overhanging rounded temples. Pronotum elongated in dense dotted line. Elytra are parallelilateral, blunted at the apex. Body and elytra are black. In Russia, 1 type. [263].

- Larvae under the bark and in the roots of honeysuckle. [263].
Pupa
- Pupate after the second wintering in V-VI in wood. The generation is biannual. [263].
