Distribution

  • Southern Russia, Crimea, Kazakhstan, Central Asia, China (Dzungaria, Gobi, Guangxi). In the south of Europe. It was registered in the Volgograd and Astrakhan regions, Kalmykia, Dagestan (the Caspian coast), Krasnodar Territory (Sochi, Anapa), Rostov region [260].
  • Can be found among other places in Lake Elton surroundings. [331].

Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

  • Large beetle, 25.5—33.2 mm long. It has a monophonic color, formed by whitish scales that almost evenly cover the entire body; in the male they are thicker than in the female. Anterior tibia in both sexes with 3 teeth. It is associated with sandy soils and inhabits river valleys. [260].
