Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

  • The wingspan is 13-23 mm. The antennae are simple, filiform. Labial palps are straight, 1.5 times longer than the diameter of the eyes., the main segment is snow-white, others are pubescent below with brown, almost black scales, above-grayish.Maxillary palps at the end with a brush of brown and gray scales. Proboscis, eyes and chetozema are present. The color is flat and grayish. The crown and back of the head are covered with protruding gray scales. The forewings are whitish-brown, with inner and outer brown bandages, with brown spots at the beginning and end of the median cell, the latter having an 8-shape. There is a row of black dots along the outer edge. The fringe is light. The hindwings are light brown, with a darkened outer margin. The fringe is white. [113].
