Distribution

  • Regions of the Russian Federation: Seaside. [3].
  • Rare species with limited distribution. In Primorye, known only 3 natural habitat type. View strictly localized in areas of lowland deciduous forests and shrubs along river banks. [96].

Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

  • Wingspan 27-32 mm. The male are the top violet-blue with a narrow black margin. The female black edge pattern expanded fringe, especially near the top of the wing, which continues along the costal margin. On the underside light gray with a blue plaque at the root.On the front and rear wings of pronounced black picture: discal touches the outside and usually a number of points podkraevoy [8].

  • Moths lay eggs of the first generation on the young twigs at the base of petioles, on stalks and leaves. Moths of the second generation lay eggs on the branches, mainly in the trunks under the flaking bark. [96].
