Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

  • Wingspan 17-23 mm. A small tailless species, the single species of the genus, their eyes are hairy. Male, UP is dark purpish blue with broad blackish borders (1.0-2.0 mm or more); UN is brownish gray, without a cell spot nor a subcostal spot in space 11 of FW, HW with postdiscal spot in space 6 shifted inwardly and out of line with the spots in spaces 5 and 7. Female has broader dark borders, usually more than half of the wing. Subsp. lampais relatively larger and male with broader dark borders about 2.0 mm, UN markings are smaller and fainter than those ofsangra. [144].

According to this source ([9] Tree of Life (funet.fi), 2012), there is a subspecies Z. o. sangra (Moore, [1866]). Please add.
