Distribution

  • Regions of the Russian Federation: the Lower Amur, Seaside. [3].
  • Amur region, Primorye, China, Korea
    It is found on the edges and mid mountain cedar-broadleaf forests, partly in the spruce-fir taiga and deciduous forests with a rich understory of shrubs [2].

Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

  • On the upper part of the hindwings there is a submarginal band with light, almost white holes. Forewing length: Males 27-31, females 34-35. [130].

  • One generation. Flight of the second half of July to mid-August [2].

General info about Larva

  • Caterpillar green top with white side stripes and a dark lower part of the body. On the back 2 rows brown spines, of which 3 front pair is much longer than the others [2].
