Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

  • It's a bandy with only one row of spots on the wings. In a well-known publication, K. Lampert appears under the name Limenitis camilla, although in fact camilla is a completely different species. Unlike Limenitis camilla, there is only one row of black dots on the underside, and the underside of the hindwings is brighter, greenish at the base. [85].

Imago lifespan

  • The butterfly flies through wooded areas in June and July. [85].

Larva food plants / other food objects

  • Lonicera. [28].
  • Жимолость. [85].

Larva lifespan

  • Just like the imago, the larva of Limenitis reducta is similar to the caterpillar of Camilla's tapeworm, but there are still differences: if camilla has real spines, then reducta has false ones, in addition, it does not have light stripes on its head, but only white dots. [85].

Pupa

  • The pupa is "gray-brown, with a few metallic spots". [85].
