Imago Habitus and Differences from alike species

The length of the forewing is from 1.5 to 1.8 cm. The hindwings bear three to four (two to five — Lampert, 2003) orange-brown ocelli. The underside of the wings is brownish yellow, with a silvery line and a rusty red border behind it. [85].
