Why, I like Vlad so much. It's very him who identified 99% of my moths, and I do appreciate that. I supposed to sort them out since this photo illustrates both species.

25.01.2013 12:42, Vitaly Gumenuk: comment on photo #8956

Probably, Scoparia pyralella.

25.01.2013 12:35, Vitaly Gumenuk: comment on photo #11308

May this be Sciota rhenella? A pro to come and sort out photos of these two species.

23.01.2013 22:09, Vitaly Gumenuk: comment on photo #20242

I don't ID anything myself. They help me on molbiol.ru. When possible, I recheck the info.

22.01.2013 14:19, Vitaly Gumenuk: comment on photo #20184

Likely Ectropis crepuscularia.

22.01.2013 14:16, Vitaly Gumenuk: comment on photo #20185

I think this is Actinotia polyodon.

21.01.2013 22:25, Vitaly Gumenuk: comment on photo #20112

What objections may rookie have? :-))) Tomorrow, the day after I'll finish uploading moths and then will show up in September-October with a new catch.

21.01.2013 16:26, Vitaly Gumenuk: comment on photo #20144

I've got 22 shots of Rhyacionia (buoliana and pinicolana all mingled). Don't know, what they differ with (can't see myself), so keep them in one place :-(

18.01.2013 14:50, Vitaly Gumenuk: comment on photo #1743

Double, might be removed.

18.01.2013 13:30, Vitaly Gumenuk: comment on photo #6035

Done.

17.01.2013 23:13, Vitaly Gumenuk: comment on photo #19919

I got it labeled as this, can't remember who made the ID. Might be mistake, they're similar. Some real pro's conclusion needed.

16.01.2013 9:32, Vitaly Gumenuk: comment on photo #14581

Why there is antiopa?

13.01.2013 22:35, Vitaly Gumenuk: comment on photo #18508

Can't make everything right on the first try, neither see always what pics are already added. Some shots I upload when the present ones of small size and can't be zoomed. As for worn-out, not sure such can't be used for ID, can't always have just emerged. As for extras, please remove freely :-)

24.12.2012 10:44, Vitaly Gumenuk: comment on photo #16641

The original name used on upload should be saved or I get it named and ID'ed wrongly what's bad. Many websites keep all the renames.

24.12.2012 10:37, Vitaly Gumenuk: comment on photo #16734

Would be really to keep the first name saved so I could later revise the photo in my archive if it was ID'ed wrongly. Otherwise how can I now find it in my archive with thousands of photos?

24.12.2012 10:04, Vitaly Gumenuk: comment on photo #15834

That is some beetle crawling, some Staphylinidae. They happen to fly to the light as well as mosquitoes, sometimes it's hard to avoid their being shot together with moths. Can they be removed later on in Photoshop, not sure if it should be done?

30.03.2011 13:44, Vitaly Gumenuk: comment on photo #7981
