Colleagues! Who knows how widespread the Mottled Sappho(Neptis sappho) or Lucilla (Neptis rivularis) is in the Moscow region. A week ago I was in the Voskresenskiy district and saw them, but I couldn't catch them. There was no net. And this week, on Friday, I specially arrived, but the weather turned bad, and I didn't find anyone. My last capture was in the Dmitrov district about ten years ago. Anyone who knows the habitat, please respond. weep.gif

According to published data, mottled plants in the MO are found only in the south: sappho in the Oka River, rivularis in the Serebryanoprudsky district. None of them was mentioned for Voskresensky.

Show me a photo of a specimen caught in the Dmitrov district, and?

Thanks! I'll go through the collection and take a picture from the Dmitrov district. But the fact that it was found in the Resurrection district, there is no doubt. I saw two copies within a meter of me. I couldn't catch it with my hand.

I wonder if the PTZ has Sappho? I think I saw something similar there last year, although it may have been Camilla...

As for Camilla, she has a different style of flying, and you can see who is who in flight. And the mottled ones tend more to the ground. This week I'm going on a small expedition in Abkhazia. When I return, I will definitely visit this place again. But I'm afraid it will be too late.

As recently as yesterday, I saw a lot of camilli on forest roads in the Ryazan region... None of them sought to rise above a meter above the ground :- ) Unless, only after trying to catch it.

Camille is now everywhere full, in the country right on the site fly, but with pestr in the MO bad, though yesterday on the second concrete on the site of the Ozerninsky reservoirs on the stage Ruza-Klin near Fedchino like-would have seen one, but... When I didn't catch it, it's hard to say if it's really Camille.

In the Ruzsky district, most likely Camilla, I've been fishing there for 10 years and there wasn't even a hint of sappho.
