Good time of day!
The problem is the following: usually entomological forums discuss how to attract insects in order to collect them more efficiently; here the task is completely the opposite: you need to illuminate the object, but not attract insects, and if possible, even scare them away ...
Why this question arose, the fact is that in the Crimea it is planned to install a complex of powerful wind turbines and not one, but several. At the same time, it is known that there are certain environmental restrictions for the installation, first of all, it is the safety of birds and bats, since there are statistics confirming the facts of death under turbines, especially the latter . So, wind turbines should be illuminated at night with powerful spotlights, the light of which attracts insects, and therefore bats, which in turn will increase the risk of their death....
Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this
