The shores of Lake Baikal in some years are covered with ladybirds with a layer of several centimeters in places.

In Primorye, the ladybug Ithone mirabilis (=Aiolocaria hexaspilota), which is quite desirable for Western collectors and the largest in the world fauna (up to 10-12 mm in diameter), forms such clusters on the walls of buildings in cities during the years of mass reproduction before leaving for wintering that concrete slabs are not visible everywhere.
