Today, a female rhino was born.
Will the males like Saturnia fly to the female?

Plant them in the fish garden, in nature, rhino pheromones and micro-smells in the wind,I think there is a chance. Please report the results.

*0*!!! She would have flown to me!!! in general, we must fly!!!!

The chances are not great. The female must be, at a minimum, not fertilized.

How many of them are flying now... Walking under a street lamp at night, 7 pieces in 5 minutes smile.gif

T_T and in Moscow only planes.... fly

There should also be rhinoceros beetles in Moscow. wink.gif

Why? If I'm not mistaken, the rhinoceros beetle is listed in the Red Book of Moscow. confused.gif

Rhinos are not uncommon in the Moscow Region, they do not regularly arrive at my dacha in the O-Zuevsky district.

We need to find an old mountain of manure or thick sawdust, also a mountain.
and there they can be unearthed en masse.

"Old" requires clarification. Such a pile must be at least 4 years old. This is the cycle of development of the rhinoceros beetle in our region. It seems that in the south, the cycle is reduced to 3 years.

Literally thousands of these larvae are brought to the Poultry market, extracted from dung heaps in the Ryazan region. I think they can be found not only in the Ryazan region.

I caught 2 female rhinos on the outskirts of Obninsk at the end of June, they were all covered in clay, the question is-just got out or laid eggs? They were stuffed with eggs, stayed in the cage in the wind for 5 days +a wet rag, no one arrived.I didn't kill him-it's a pity,I let him go on living. In the city, I found males under white halos.but cats-s...ki, under lamps eat everything!, and these are chewed, but do not eat, and to see the remains is one waste.

This year, a female arrived at the light of the DRL. Surroundings of Krasnoyarsk on dachas. Apparently they live in someone's compost. But I must say they are not frequent here - I caught them 15 years ago in the same places.

I would also like a male, but apparently they do not fly well into the light, especially where they are rare.

The female hung in the cage for 5 nights with lighting somewhere from 21.00 to 3.00 (2-3, 3-4, 5-6, 6-7, 7-8.06.2011) no more males or females. But now the kit.

So, the male flew to the female? Or just into the light?

Don't let the rhinoceros fly between males and females, get that out of your head. But on the light flying both sexes and very successfully. Usually at dusk.

Both males and females fly to the light (where they are). Last year, I found a lone female under a street lamp right near the railway station, at the Railway station: I was surprised a lot. It's a pity that we don't have enough of them weep.gif. But there was a time when they went to school instead of "May bug".

No need for songs! They were always rare in the city smile.gif

Mikhail, behind the Savvinsky Church there used to be a subsidiary farm of the Kirov Collective Farm, where they made ropes from flax. There, in the 1970s, on the piles of rotted oches, it could be collected literally in 3-liter cans: I myself witnessed this. Yes, and wrote once about it: here.
Later, I found it under streetlights on Kalinin Street (behind the military registration and enlistment office, where the monument to the rocket is located) and on Lugovaya Street (near the main entrance to Pestovsky Park before the development of multi-storey buildings). This is not a song
in any way. P. S. More specifically, where I put the plus sign (there were a lot of it before)

this is daaa)
we used to have a lot too, not 3-liter cans of course, but regularly 1-2 copies flew into the yard for light, now there are none at all, because most of the private dilapidated houses that were nearby were demolished, and high-rise buildings were built in their place. Pitifully..

Well, I put it figuratively, but ex. 40 for the evening was quite real.

There was also a sawmill behind the church-there was a logging yard, and that's where I fished. But, of course, not three-liter cans smile.gif

yes.gif I remember the year 1975 especially vividly (I bent about the banks naturally, but a lot). And now they seem to have given part of the land for cottages. That's a shame weep.gif
By the way: 3 large pairs from 1996 are in my collection as a memory.
