I asked about the publication of finds, I know about the finds themselves thanks to the forum. It turned out that for the first time it was indicated for the MO by N. B. Nikitsky: Nikitsky N. B. New and interesting finds of xylophilic and some other Coleoptera insects (Coleoptera) in the Moscow region and Moscow. Mosk. nature testers ' island. Department of Biol. 2009. Vol. 114. Issue 5. pp. 50-58.

I want to enliven the topic a little since now I, personally, was lucky enough to collect this beetle last night (my first find of the species) smile.gifPlease note that it was collected not somewhere in the Moscow Region, but directly in Moscow. The beetle seems to be taking root here thoroughly wink.gif
"I ask you to love and favor" (it seems that no one else looks like this here) wink.gif

I want to add that the pollen-eater was also collected there (also sporadically) . Prionychus ater (Fabricius, 1775) which I think is also quite unusual for the region. Later (after unpacking), both beetles will be placed in their respective topics. Just like that: I went to work smile.gif

In the Tambov region for many years one of the main pests of timber construction, especially affected by those who hastily puts on the roof crate unsheltered unedged pine. According to my humble observations (since 2001), it tends specifically to populated areas, due to the availability of food supply. Readily flies to the light in populated areas and their surroundings, and in enclosed spaces wink.gif

Rushing to the north to see thoroughly. We still have a rare one, but there is one. Will there be any more? Global warming, however eek.gif
P.S. Does he eat conifers? Like on deciduous trees? Maybe you (like us) have Arhopalus rusticus everywhere (it is just on conifers)?

Why is it unusual? I collect them regularly (almost annually) in the Yaroslavl region - both in Rostov and Yaroslavl. However, as a rule, it is isolated - 2-3 copies each. per season. It is necessary to search on the trunks of old deciduous trees-linden, oak, ash, more often at dusk. Once collected in the light.

smile.gifUp to this point, I have regularly collected only Pseudocistela ceramboides (Linnaeus, 1761) from these friends. And P. ater was only more southern in the collection. That's why it's unusual. And where I shastayu above-mentioned trees and do not count. But the office is full of old lime trees. Still, it's nice to collect two new types" in one sitting " smile.gif

On the contrary, I have fewer of them-but what is less common there: for all the years only three copies, and all from one point-literally - three consecutive years apiece from the same birch mutt. smile.gif

the office is full of old lime trees.

Here on these lime trees and look-almost all my ater collected in the city, on the old alleys of lime trees, oaks, ash trees...

In Yaroslavl region... Addition to the already published information: Tatar maple-brought out beetles without wintering at ALL. In the autumn of 2013, a drying tree was cut down for the needs of the exhibition, "flour" began to fall out of it - they were removed from the exhibition. I put this block of wood in a large black garbage bag and safely "forgot" it in my office. In July 2014-opened - one beetle that came out of the trunk and when splitting-two in the cradles...
