Recently, two representatives of this species were caught. But there is very little information about them. I would like to know if it is possible to keep at home, how long they live ? Anyway, who knows anything about them?

They were caught in Tatarstan, Sarmanovsky district. Please forgive me, but in terms of describing the biotope, I am not very smart and quick-witted. Mixed-grass meadow and arable land, which occupy the main part. Near a small river and ravines. The soil is chernozem. The territory itself is more low-lying.

I think that it is possible and necessary to contain themsmile.gif, but as for the conditions, you need to start from local conditions+ from what is already on the Internet in normal sources, there is also a topic about the content of pryamoptera

IMHO, these are adults, they do not overwinter-you need to get a clutch. And in the sl. season to look at the offspring and fatten up-eh??There is a difficulty-you need to do this...And the animal is interesting,I caught one myself, I had to starve it out, it will live forever in the collection.Question-and finally-is it rare or not??

Let's try to achieve masonry, but will it work?.. Now I will try to provide conditions. I think it's rare, because I've never seen it before. And in our forests and fields, I had to go a lot of places. Yes, there is sooo little information about it in general.

apparently, only local conditions will have to be based on, since there is no information on the content of them. And the information on the content of crickets is not very suitable, since they are very fastidious in food and simply do not want to eat much.

According to my observations, O. servillei is a common species in the steppe and forest-steppe zone, with a wide range, but it occurs quite locally. It seems that in the last 5 years it has come across much more often than, say, 15-20 years ago, and including many new finds to the north of the core of the range, including the Nizhny Novgorod and Moscow regions. I don't think that a flightless species can expand its range so quickly to the north, rather, the population has increased dramatically in places where it has not been noticed before.
There can be great difficulties with breeding in captivity due to the presence of temperature-dependent diapause. I do not know if it is obligate, but there is evidence that larvae come out only after the 2nd wintering season (from May), develop 2.5-3 months. Adults are found in October, but the peak of reproduction is in late July-August.

There-as an option-it is necessary to pour warm water on time and there will not be a second year.I caught mine on the dry-coastal green grass border.Probably he ate there-it was on the sedge. There will be no problems with feeding the larvae. And also-are sevchukas collective, not aggressive within the species? This is important for the content...

masonry is now available. but another question has come up, how to keep track of them until spring? I don't know what to think. I have no such experience(

Cold diapause, then warm, the main thing is that it doesn't dry out completely...Small ones come out and start feeding-feeding-feeding..Sevchuki grow up the size of a chicken-and in a collection of them-one for me!!!!!!

it turns out that they are now in the ground dry to leave and in a cool place to remove? if the size of a chicken will be, then definitely!

Put it on the loggia, for example, and then I do not know-you need to keep it as low as possible.....You sow wheat and put it in the heat, you can spray it with a spray gun-and wait....
